KLAS defines the community hospital market segment as hospitals with 200 beds or less. As detailed in our most recent community HIS report, providers in the community hospital space prefer the convenience and flexibility of hosted or cloud-based solutions, along with faster-paced software development and a heavily integrated suite of products.
KLAS will continue to report on vendor progress in these key areas but will also look to share insights around how business intelligence/analytics and population health vendors look to scale down their solutions to help community hospital organizations.
